Zions Half Marathon
New year, new course! This year our Zion Half Marathon course is going to be a gorgeous run on the west side of the park up on Smith Mesa Road. This course will be on the west side of the park. While you run, you’ll get amazing panoramic views of Zion. It’s not technically trail, but the course will be on all dirt road. (Please note, this course is subject to change.)

The start, finish, and race expo will all be at the same location. There isn’t a physical address, but you can get directions at the website.

*It is ultimately our goal to return to our original Springdale course, but we have to wait for construction to finish on highway 9. At the moment, it is unclear when this will be possible.

We have moved this race to a later date in the year in order to have a better chance of good weather. If we get rain during race weekend, we will need to move the race to a plan B. We will not know if this is necessary until the week of the race. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation if that happens. We will update all of our runners immediately if we have to move to a plan B.
Like all of our courses, the Zion Half Marathon course is Cup Free! While we will have plenty of water and electrolyte drink on course, we do not have cups on course.

Relay For Life of Box Elder
10 AM-10 PM

Relay For Life is a grass roots, community-based team event.

Although every Relay For Life event is different, they do have a few things in common.

Event Schedule

Opening Ceremony
Time to get started. We kick off the event by honoring everyone who's been affected by cancer and everyone who has contributed to the success of this year's Relay season.

Survivor/Caregiver Walk
Survivors and Caregivers are the heart and soul of Relay For Life events. We honor their strength and courage with every step they take. It doesn't matter if you were diagnosed 10 days ago or 10 years ago, you can walk while everyone gathers together to cheer you on.

Luminaria Ceremony
During this ceremony we represent everyone touched by cancer with a Luminaria. Each light represents a life—a life taken by cancer, a survivor of cancer, or a support for a person still fighting the disease. It's a powerful demonstration that gives people the opportunity to grieve but also offers comfort and hope.

Closing Ceremony
Our closing ceremony is the time to commit to take action and help lead the fight for a world free from cancer. It's a time to celebrate what we've accomplished together and a time to unify for the work that needs to be done moving forward.
