The run is sponsored by the Simmons Center for Cancer Research with the help of the BYU Cougars vs Cancer group. Antelope Island Buffalo Run 25k
Welcome
Big changes are in store for the 2018 Antelope Island Buffalo Run. Last year the state park requested that I cut the number of runners in half due to the impacts the event had on traffic, parking, etc. That meant that a lot of people were unable to run due to those limitations.

I met with the state park after the 2017 event and I proposed that the 25K distance be split off from the 50K, 50 mile, and 100 mile. The park thought that was a great idea and will allow me to have 400 runners for each event. This will result in a bit more work and expense for my team, but will allow for a total of 800 runners for all four distances. This is the same limit that existed two years ago.

Sand Hollow Marathon and Half
The Sand Hollow Marathon will run on March 10th, 2018. If you have not yet run this course, then you're in for a treat! Our newly developed course, starting and finishing in the beautiful, small town of Hurricane, Utah loops around Sand Hollow State Park and Reservoir. It is only twenty minutes from St. George, thirty minutes from Zion National Park, and just two hours from Vegas by car. This will be the Sixth Annual Sand Hollow Marathon, and as always, our goal is to provide the perfect venue. We believe we have the most scenic course of all; making this is a great race with a small town atmosphere. The scenery is fantastic, the volunteers are great, and our sponsors make it happen. We have listened to the advice of our runners and continue to improve and grow this popular event.

Come see why many athletes choose to run in Southern Utah. We are known for warm weather that gives all of our northern Utah runners a great excuse to make the trip to St. George. We hope to see you soon!

KOPFC Indoor Winter Tri- Series #3
Who’s ready for another great start to the 2018 triathlon season? We are making preparation to help you have the best season ever with our Winter Indoor Tri-Series. 2018 dates are Saturday, January 20, Saturday, February 24 & Saturday, March 24. Perfect spacing between each event so you can track and gauge your training progress. Registration is open now, but very few spots are left, so don’t delay and register today.

This triathlon series is perfect for all abilities whether you’ve participated in many or this is your first. Rather than racing over a fixed distance as traditional triathlons are designed to do, this indoor triathlon will have you race for the greatest distance you can within a fixed time frame. SCORE-BOARDYou will compete for a total of 1 hour (with 2 transitions) no matter how fast anyone is. You will receive a score based on the distance you complete in each of the disciplines (swim, bike, run), and an overall score based on those combined scores. The event will run in “waves” with 16 participants per wave and a max of 120 athletes per Tri-Series event.

Each wave begins 1/2 hour after the previous wave start. Select your wave time during registration. Register early to get the wave start time you want!

Race format will run as follows:
15 minute SWIM
(Indoor 50 M pool)
10 minute transition

25 minute BIKE
( LeMond spin bike)
10 minute transition

20 minute RUN
(Utah Olympic Oval indoor track)

Event dates for the 2018 Tri-Series are:
#1 – Jan 20, #2 – Feb 24, #3 – Mar 24

The cost is only $29 per Tri-Series event
$63 for all 3 events.
