LaVerkin City Winter Fest 10K 5K
New Winter Fest routes Come run the LaVerkin twist! The 10K is an out and back, it will start at the LaVerkin Wanlass Park, 320 N Main. Runners will go north on Main Street, make a right onto Highway 9, stay on 9 until they reach the LaVerkin Look off road, they will then make a right onto the dirt road and travel for a half of a mile till they reach the aid station and the turn around spot. The first half of this new route is challenging as it is mostly up hill. The second half of the course will be fast paced as it follows the same route back down the hill. The views of Pine Valley and surrounding areas are amazing! All 10K runners must run within the coned areas. The right lane will be coned off for the runners to use, until the second lane ends. At that point, runners will need to run on the edge of the road or next to the road on the dirt/gravel area. All 5k and 10K runners will be required to sign a waiver. The wavier must be signed at packet pick-up or at the LaVerkin City office, anytime before the race.

For those of you who would like a less intense run but still beautiful, we have our traditional 5K, revised. The new 5K route is the old 5K route backwards, plus a couple of areas have been changed as well.

We will again hold our treasure hunt in the park. Come and search for treasures from our amazing sponsors. This year we will feature the very popular A4 long sleeve technical shirts to keep you warm.

Packet pick up is Friday, November 30th at the LaVerkin City office, 435 N Main, 5-7:30 pm and December 1st at the LaVerkin Park, 320 N Main, 7:30 am. Treasure Hunt at 8:15 am. Races begin at 9:00 am.

Registration fees 5k is $14.00 and 10k is $19.00 thru Oct.12th.
Oct. 13 thru Nov 16th registration fees will be: 5K is $20.00 and the 10K will be $25.00
Late registration Nov 17 through Dec 1st is 5k is $25 and 10K is $30.00.

Baker's Dozen Half Marathon
When was the last time you GAINED weight during a race???

The Baker's Dozen Half Marathon is your opportunity to combine some of the best things in life: 1) Friends, 2) Running, and 3) Sugar! This year's race will be December 1, 2018, in Hurricane Utah.

The Baker's Dozen is a social, fun event where runners race a 3.25 mile loop course allowing them to interact with other runners during the whole race. Half marathoners will run the loop four times and have the incredible fortune of passing the aid station (affectionately known as the "Sugar Shack") at the end of every loop.

Each member of a marathon relay team will run one 5k loop. (You can do your loops together or separately.)

All half marathon and relay runners will receive an AMAZING finisher's medal. But.....you have to earn it. Not only do you run 13 miles, but to earn a medal you must also consume a treat each time you pass the Sugar Shack (3 times total). Volunteers will verify your gluttony, so don't register for the race if you don't plan to eat some calories. (Each relay runner just needs to eat one treat.)

The Sugar Station will include all the foods you would expect to find in heaven including donuts, cupcakes, cookies, and Twinkies. So let the training begin! (And by "training" we mean "Bring on the maple bars!")

The Capstone Races
The Capstone course is a 10k loop with expansive sweeping views of the desert in and around St. George Utah. It wanders along sections of the blissfully scenic Zen mountain bike trail! Just remember the Zen trail rising up out of Moe’s Valley is a wee bit rocky in spots, and with more than 1000 feet of climbing, you might want to bring (or beg, borrow, steal) a set of climbing legs as well.

The course was designed to provide an opportunity for new trail runners to gain confidence in an unfamiliar setting.
