The Angels and Devils 5k
This is the 5th annual Angels and Devils 5k. The race is to help raise funds to purchase better equipment for the Springville Junior High and High School Track and Cross Country teams (specifically an electronic timing system). Some of the money will also go towards paying for the expenses of traveling to competitive meets (i.e. Nike XC Nationals. Our High School XC team is ranked 3RD in the NATION!!).

The course is an authentic Cross Country race course, as it is used for our very own Red Devil Invite. It is very grassy, with a dirt trail at the beginning and end. It's a fun, easy course for all ages.

This years race is being organized by Timothy Harlow, as part of his Eagle Scout Project.

Antelope Island 50k and Mountain View Trail Half
Ok boys and girls, the Antelope Island Fall Classic 50K is now on. Let the party begin. The date for this year’s Antelope Island 50K is November 11th, 2017. A bit later this year, but it’ll give you a chance to get in one last ultra before shutting it down for the winter and hitting the slopes. There will not be a 100K this year.

Quick Synopsis
Distance – 50K, how far is that? 50K, oh, you mean in miles, it’s about 31 miles.

Vert – Yep, there is some. Oh, how much? Well, roughly 3500’ of gain.

The 50k will be one loop. Here’s a link to the route as it exists now. Click Here. The cool thing about this race is that you will get to go out on the west side of the island and run where the general public rarely goes.
There will be only one drop bag location at the Nine Mile Gate aid station. If you want other info on the race, there's plenty on the race website.
For those of you familiar with the Buffalo Run course, you’ll be able to follow along. For those who have never run the Buffalo run, most of this stuff will make absolutely no sense without a map. Oh, and the race start is at 8am sharp.
Addition Race Information
I put the half marathon info on the facebook page link. That will have the Half information and the 50k information will be on the Event Website link. And the registration link is for both.

Donut Dash 5K 2017
Do you like to run? Do you love donuts? (Duh, who doesn’t?) Want to support making your community a better place? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you are ready to enter the Donut Dash 5K. We’re challenging you to a unique biathlon that raises your heart rate and your blood sugar for a good cause. And costumes of all types are encouraged! Through your participation, you support the work of Preservation Utah (formerly Utah Heritage Foundation) to keep the past alive, not only for preservation, but to inspire and provoke a more creative present and sustainable future. We’re often the first call people make when a building is threatened by demolition or you’re seeking help with a rehabilitation project. Proceeds from the Donut Dash go to support the work of Preservation Utah, a statewide non-profit organization working to preserve, protect, and promote Utah's historic built environment through public awareness, advocacy, and active preservation. So by having fun, you also help make communities across the state better places by encouraging historic preservation.

Combined with Memory Grove Discovery Day’s FREE activities for kids, it’s an event that the whole family can enjoy. So it’s time to channel your inner Homer Simpson and tell him that signing up for the Donut Dash is the perfect way to get the donuts you crave while working them off at the same time running in one of the city’s most picturesque areas, City Creek Canyon.

Mustache Dash 5k-SHUTT out Cancer
We mustache you a question, and we can’t shave it for later. Help us SHUTT out cancer to kick off No Shave November!
Mark your calendars for the No Shave November Mustache Dash 5K on November 11th at 10am.
Jennifer Shutt was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer called Rhabdomyosarcoma at the beginning of September. It is a cancer that starts in the connective tissue of the body, the jaw muscle in Jennifer’s case. It has spread throughout her body to the bones of her arms, legs, spine, pelvis, and lungs. Rhabdomyosarcoma is more rare in adults and usually occurs in childhood.
Jen started an aggressive chemotherapy treatment regimen this month. She will be recovering from these treatments for 6 months to one year.
Jennifer and her super supportive husband Chris are parents to a sweet 16 month old daughter, Harper. They were excited to be able to buy their first home in Tooele County last year. They are grateful to both have loving and supportive families to lean on during this trying time.
Mustache Dash is an out and back course on a paved running trail beginning at Teton Park in West Jordan. The race is complete with prizes, treats and a silent auction. All proceeds will go straight to Jennifer and her family to help ease the financial burden during this difficult time.
So grow your best ‘stache (or at least wear the one included with registration ????) and get ready to dash! Prizes awarded for the best mustache!

World Toilet Day 5K - Virtual Race
WORLD TOILET DAY is November 19, 2017! Complete your race anytime in November.

If you’ve ever participated in a running event, you know that the longest lines are usually the lines for the Port-a-Potties! Perhaps you’ve been out on a long run or walk, and the site of a toilet is the greatest thing you’ve even seen! Many would say that a toilet is a runner’s best friend.

November 19th is World Toilet Day. Here are some facts to consider:

650 million people in the world do not have access to safe water.
2.3 billion people don’t have access to adequate sanitation, one in three of the world’s population.
More than 500,000 children die every year from diarrhea caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. That’s over 1,400 children a day!
In honor of World Toilet Day, we are hosting our third annual World Toilet Day 5K!
