Independence Day in December $10 (100% for the Gill Family)
Many of you are aware that Boojah Gill has cancer and Timothy Gill is now running for her. Tim is not one to toot his own horn and there is nothing harder than asking for help when you need it. Tim runs for Huntsman Cancer carrying flags in the rain and raising thousands for cancer. Most do not know that Tim is a disabled war veteran and partially deaf due to a mortar blast. He also suffers from PTSD which is why he runs so much. It helps him with it. Tim has recently started the process of changing jobs and with it was out of his insurance policy during the transition period Boojah was getting cancer treatments leaving them holding the bill. Tim has been a huge friend to the running community (me too) and has helped out freely at many of my races. We have created a new 5K for Boojah and Tim called Independence Day in December on Dec 9. It is patriotic for Tim and Independence from Cancer for Boojah. The cost is based on your willingness to pay. $10 to $40 and 100% goes to the Gill Family. The race will give free shirts and medals from past races. The location is in North Salt Lake at Legacy Park right off the Legacy Parkway Trail. Even if you cannot run please register for a $10 spot to show your support to this family. (sorry tax is included but we cannot form a 501c3 in that limited time). Please spread the word by Sharing, Liking and Commenting. Someday you may be in need and Tim and Boojah Gill will be the first to your aid. This race will be put on by Joseph Coles (On Hill Events) and Josher Hansen (Runcast) with no fee to us or staff. Not that we want to list our names as the charity organizers but we want you to know that this race will be well run as a traditional race. It will be well worth the $10 to $40. Though it will be a good cause it will be fun and funny knowing Timothy Gill would not approve of it otherwise.
Addition Race Information
We doing this for free for the Gill family though we produce 20 races annually and have done over 180 races in our history. Please help them by running donating or volunteering. Should be the funniest race you will ever do for $10.
